PEACEJAM CONFERENCE
On September 11, 12 and 13, a group of NVCS students attended a conference on the campus of Loyola-Marymount University. It was a Global Call to Action – for groups of students to share the ways they have come up with to combat problems faced all over the world, like disease, poverty, racism, the environment, human and women’s rights. Students came to Los Angeles from far away – South Africa, Argentina, Guatemala, the U.K. Minnesota, Vermont – and not so far away - Northern California, Long Beach, Fontana and even our sister school, Camino Nuevo. Six Nobel Peace Laureates guided and inspired those gathered. Overall, it was a great experience.
